Suspension Mods

Thankyou to Kingfisher Kustoms for their swift modification of the front struts! They have fitted bushes to flip the tie rod ends which restores the steering geometry after lowering it. I can already feel an improvement in terms of removing the bump steer, but still need to tweak the tracking as it feels off again (raising the front made an improvement, so I think I need to get the same toe-in as I had before the struts were modded). Easy enough to adjust now that the track rod threads are nice and free! The cabrio is now my daily until I get the newbie MOTed so hope she can cope...

Our first outing!

Well having managed to get the bug running a bit better, and raising the front suspension a couple of notches to avoid it bottoming out all the time, we went along to the Coventry Festival of Motoring on Sunday. Although I had taken the cabrio to work a couple of times it was the first test over any distance, and she performed pretty well. Still a few bit flat spots and misfires but the run has diffinately improved things. Here is a nice photo from my phone of Helen and Jake in the sun in the back. We both got a bit burned!
